TODAY'S SEVEN

FOODANIMALSWORLDCULTUREWORDSDAILYWILD

Every launch is the same seven prompts for every pilot. The rarer the answer, the higher the thrust.

01 / MISSION BRIEF

Seven prompts. One answer each. Rare beats obvious.

Cosmillion is a daily answer game about the answer nobody else thought of. Every prompt has a hidden board of valid answers, ranked by how rarely players reach for them. Your instinct is to name the first thing that fits — resist it.

  1. 01

    Launch once a day

Seven prompts, the same for everyone. A new launch appears at midnight in your local time. One logged launch per day; archive and unlimited modes are always open.

  2. 02

    Name one thing that fits

Type any valid answer in 25 seconds. Spelling is forgiven — plurals, accents, punctuation and small typos are matched to the board.

  3. 03

    Rarity is thrust

“Apple” is a TOURIST answer: +10. “Jabuticaba” is COSMILLION: +100. The rarer the valid answer, the harder your rocket burns.

  4. 04

    Climb nine biomes

Every answer pushes the rocket through the ocean, the sky, orbit, the Moon, Mars, the asteroid belt and beyond. Seven perfect answers reach 700.

  5. 05

Share the altitude, keep the streak

Get a spoiler-free result, send a challenge link to a friend, and come back tomorrow. Your streak, best and rarest finds live in your logbook.

02 / THE RANKS

Six rarities, from everyone's answer to one in a million.

Every accepted answer lands in one of six rarity bands. The label tells you exactly how lonely your answer was on the board — and how much thrust it earned.

+10

Tourist

Everyone packed that one. A nudge, not a burn.

+15

Echo

Felt clever. Half the crew said it too.

+30

Cadet

Solid burn. The squadron is with you.

+60

Astronaut

Genuinely uncommon. Clean thrust.

+85

Deep Space

Almost nobody went there. Beautiful.

+100

Cosmillion

One in a million. The rarest answer on the board.

03 / WAYS TO FLY

One daily launch. A full year in the archive. Endless reruns.

No account, no payment, no download. Everything runs in your browser and saves locally.

04 / WHY IT WORKS

The answer you almost sent is the one that wins.

Most word games ask what you know. Cosmillion asks what you'd dare to say. Everyone can name a fruit; the points come from naming the fruit nobody else remembers. It is a daily word game, a trivia game and a small act of nerve, all in about three minutes.

The scoring is what makes it replayable. A valid answer is never wrong — it just flies lower. That means every prompt has a ladder: the obvious answer at the bottom, then the lateral one, then the absurd-but-correct one that turns seven seconds into 100 points.

Cosmillion is built for a coffee break and for the group chat. The seven prompts are identical for everyone on the same launch, so comparing scores is fair. Send a challenge link and your friend plays the same seven, free and without signing up. You'll know within three minutes who thinks strangest. It is a rarest answer game at heart and a category game on the surface — the ladder from obvious to absurd is the point.

And it's a full year of content from the first day: 365 launches, seven prompts each, generated and hand-checked into a deep answer bank. New prompts at local midnight; the archive never closes.

05 / MISSION CONTROL FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is Cosmillion?

Cosmillion is a free daily word game where the rarest answer wins. Every day everyone gets the same seven prompts, like “Name a fruit”, with 25 seconds per prompt. You name one thing that fits; common answers score a little, rare answers score a lot, and your rocket climbs from the ocean floor toward deep space.

How is an answer scored in Cosmillion?

Each answer scores one of six rarities: TOURIST +10, ECHO +15, CADET +30, ASTRONAUT +60, DEEP SPACE +85 or COSMILLION +100. The rarer your valid answer, the more thrust it gives. Seven perfect answers score 700 and send the rocket beyond the galaxy.

Is Cosmillion free to play?

Yes. Cosmillion is free, with no sign-up, no download and no advertisements. It runs entirely in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Progress and streaks are stored privately in your own browser.

When does a new Cosmillion launch appear?

A new set of seven prompts goes live at midnight in your local time. The prompts are the same for everyone playing that launch, and there is one logged daily launch per device. You can replay past launches for fun in the archive.

What if I misspell an answer?

Spelling is forgiven. Plurals, accents, punctuation, small typos and common variants are matched to the board automatically. If an answer is not on the board, it is rejected and you can try again while the clock keeps running; only accepted answers score. A timeout scores zero and shows a rare answer that was waiting.

Can I play Cosmillion with friends?

Yes. After a launch you get a spoiler-free result and a challenge link. Send it to a friend; they play the same seven prompts for free and see whether they beat your score. Nobody needs an account.

How many launches are there?

Cosmillion ships with a full year of launches: 365 days, seven prompts each, more than 2,500 prompt instances and tens of thousands of accepted answers. The archive lets you play any launch that has already aired.

Does Cosmillion work offline or as an app?

Cosmillion runs in any modern browser and can be added to your home screen from the browser menu. It is served from Cloudflare's edge with no account; game progress stays in your browser. Google Tag Manager with Google Analytics 4, plus Cloudflare's cookieless Web Analytics, measure aggregate traffic only — never your prompts, answers, scores or logbook.
